Find words in a sea of letters and try to beat your own high scores in this fun educational game

Learning new words is always a good thing, regardless of your age or education. It can never hurt to have an extended vocabulary, especially if you enjoy writing, or communicating with people working in a variety of fields. However, it can be rather boring to just sit with a dictionary in your lap all day long, which is why there are much more amusing activities you could try out.

Find words in a sea of letters

Bookworm Deluxe is a simple educational game in which your purpose is to form words by linking letters together. These letters are randomly spread around the board, and you have the freedom to link them whichever way you like. Obviously, some words may not be recognized and you will miss a lot of them, especially because the board is dynamic, but the entertainment factor is certainly there.

There are multiple game modes to choose from as well, depending on how much time you have on your hands. Hence, in the Classic mode you just play for as long as you wish, while gradually gaining experience and levels. In case you want a bit more fun and a fast-paced rhythm, you can try the Action mode, which is a lot more frantic, although the underlying principle is the same.

Expand your vocabulary and think logically

Besides the fact that you have to come up with words in order to clear the board, there are other things you have to watch out for as well. The burning letters are quite dangerous, and they can end the game for you if they reach the bottom of the board. However, if you include them in a word before that, they just disappear. In addition, yellow and green letters provide you with additional points, which is why it’s recommended to use them as often as you can.

As far as the technical aspect is concerned, the graphics are nothing out of the ordinary, especially, when you consider the fact that all you see are the letters and the board. Sure, there may be some basic particle effects whenever you manage to form a word, but nothing more than that. However, it doesn’t really matter how it looks as long as you are having fun and learning things at the same time.

Try to beat your own high scores

All things considered, Bookworm Deluxe is indeed a fun game to play whenever you feel like learning a thing or two. Naturally, it may not be as fun as Grand Theft Auto, but it’s much more rewarding and relaxing to play.
